BC&C – Enriching Lives / Cribbage

March 2022 - Tomahawk School District's Librarian Paula Norman submitted a grant for the new Enriching Lives program at the schools. With the money, she purchased supplies for multiple projects, including Cribbage. Some cribbage boards are even being made by our very own students in the community and plan to be put into use just after spring break.

BC&C – Enriching Lives / Sewing

March 2022 - Tomahawk School District's Librarian Paula Norman submitted a grant for the new Enriching Lives program at the schools. With the money, she purchased supplies for multiple projects, including sewing. The sewing part of Enriching Lives has been such a hit for the kids already! There are 50 kids at the Elementary school wanting to learn to sew and 13 in the Middle school!

Tomahawk Senior Center

November 2021 - The Tomahawk Community Senior Center received a grant for $2,000 to help with their kitchen remodel. We were so happy to reward this money to support this project. Look at these awesome final results!

Tomahawk Public Library Water Fountain

WaWui Ice Arena Rink Mats

December 2020 - Tomahawk STAR Foundation was happy to give WaWui a $5,000 grant to go towards their new interlocking rink mats. These mats will help protect the kids skates so they can maneuver through the rink. The new mats can be sanitized to keep the rink safe as well. WaWui, Tomahawk Hockey Association, Tomahawk Figure Skaters and Cerny’s Greenhouse matched the grant so the project could be completed.

BC&C – Tomahawk Schools Art & Music Kits

September 2020 - These kits supply each student with their personal sound sources and manipulatives. The music kits were packaged by teachers and aides so they were ready for our students. The students really enjoy them!

Hatchet Pride Project – Field & Track

August 2020 - Congratulations to everyone who worked on this amazing project! The STAR Foundation is proud to have been a part of this by giving a $10,000 donation. The Hatchet Pride Project was a private fundraiser organized by community members, coaches, and parents to assist the School District of Tomahawk to repair and upgrade their outdoor athletic facilities. Construction was completed in September of 2020. Take a 360 degree tour of Hatchet Field!

BC&C – Tomahawk Schools Culinary

January 2020 - Thanks to the Tomahawk Star Foundation - Beyond Crayons and Chromebook grant, students put on their baker's hats and made holiday haystacks, chocolate sandwich cookie truffles, and rice cereal porcupine treats!
