The members of the Four Rivers Quilt Guild, Tomahawk, WI, wish to thank the Star Foundation for the September 2022 Award.
The generous award of $450.00 allowed the Four Rivers Quilt Guild to continue to give to our community partners. With the award, we were able to purchase necessary supplies to sew quilts, children’s bags and critters, walker bags, catheter bags, and fidget blankets. Other supplies purchased were labels to sew onto donations, a storage container, and an endorsement stamp for the Guild.
Our community partners (Milestone Senior Living, Riverview Health Services, Tomahawk Health Services, County Terrace of WI, Rhinelander Hospice, Salvation Army, Country Terrace, and Pinecrest Health Services) received over 600 items during 2022.
Also, during the holiday season we reached out to Haven House Shelter and learned about 20 families that could use some holiday cheer. The Guild provided 20 quilts, pillowcases, and children’s bags for those families.
