April 2023 - $1000 The STAR Foundation contributed to the purchase of a laser engraver for the Elementary School. Students will be able to use the laser engraver through their elementary years. This machine will be able to continue to be an asset for many years as the students continue through the STEM program. Pages from a book are converted into signs that are laid out around a park or along a trail. This grant was used to purchase additional books for use with the installed StoryWalk on the Tomahawk School District playground.

DATE: 2023 RECIPIENT: St. Mary's School AMOUNT: $1000 DESCRIPTION: The garden is a great addition to our Science curriculum, where the kids learn what plants need to grow and thrive. They are responsible for testing the PH of the water and how many parts per millions of nutrients are in the water for the plants and documenting these things on a weekly basis. The Hydroponic garden not only benefits the learning in the classroom but the school and community as a whole. Each harvest produces 20 plus pounds of fresh lettuce and greens for our school lunch program every month.…

October 2022 - $1000 Some of the grant for the Tomahawk Public School District Library's program "Enriching Lives" went towards purchasing fleece to make tie blankets, which were donated to the Lincoln County Humane society.
