BC&C – FCCLA NICU Baskets

Tomahawk High School's FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America) organization was awarded a $1,000 grant for the creation of care packages for families of newborns in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). We donated to the Wausau Aspirus Birthing Center, focusing on the NICU Department. We made homemade activity bags for the siblings and parents of the patient. The bags included an inspiring logo, to SPREAD LOVE. BC&C – Fall Find / Literacy Community Project

Tomahawk Elementary School was awarded $420 for a "Fall Find" project to purchase books and "gold star" book tokens to increase student literacy. Clues were given daily as to where some stars were hidden around the school or community. Students who found stars could bring them in for a new book for them to keep.

THS Link Crew

The STAR Foundation gave $500 to Tomahawk High School's Link Crew. Link Crew is "a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success."

Northwoods Fall Ride Fundraiser

Tomahawk STAR Foundation sold "Fun Run" cards to participants in the 2023 Northwoods Fall Ride from a table at SARA Park and on Main Street after the Thunder Parade. These cards featured three different routes with a variety of stops that took riders on scenic Northwoods day trips. Those who visited every location on the card could return it for a prize drawing of Kwik Trip gift cards. We raised $1620! Tomahawk Hatchets Competitive Cheer

May 2023 -- We are super excited to announce that we will be filling a grant for a total of $1,500 to the new Competition Cheer team! These ladies have been working so hard to fundraise money for mats to be able to host cheer competitions in Tomahawk and make for safer practices.
